- He is Dr. Ken Kai’s eldest son.

Graduated in 2005 with D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree
- General Practice Residency (GPR) program: The Queen’s Medical Center (Honolulu, Hawaii)
Completed in 2006 with certificate
Post-graduate hospital-based, general dentistry residency program
- Orthodontic Specialty Residency Program: University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (San Francisco, CA)
To graduate in September 2009 with certificate in orthodontics and M.S.D. (Master of Science in Dentistry) degree
